Wellington: India registered a four-run victory over New Zealand under the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method after rain forced the match to be abandoned.

Batting first, New Zealand were bowled out for 134 in 41 overs. Gurnoor Brar spearheaded India’s bowling attack with four wickets for 30 runs. Daryl Mitchell top-scored for the hosts with 55 runs, while Mitchell Santner added 31.

In reply, India reached 113 for seven in 26 overs when rain interrupted play. The visitors needed 22 runs from the remaining 66 balls to reach the target.

With play unable to resume due to persistent rain, the match was called off, giving India a four-run win under the DLS method.
