‘Ramayana’ Makers Warn of Legal Action Over Theatre Recordings
Mumbai: The makers of Ramayana: Part 1 have warned of legal action against those recording scenes from the film in theatres and sharing them on social media.
Following Bombay High Court orders issued on November 2 and 6, unauthorised recording, uploading and circulation of the film’s footage are prohibited. Violators could face criminal and civil proceedings, including contempt of court charges, imprisonment and fines.

The production team has also urged users to remove clips already shared online.
Released on November 5, the film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. Ravi Dubey, Arun Govil and Vivek Oberoi also feature in the cast.
