Bengaluru: The Karnataka BJP has intensified its attack on Congress leader and former minister B.Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan after the Lokayukta reportedly sought government sanction to prosecute him in a disproportionate assets case.

In a post on social media platform X, the BJP claimed that the Lokayukta had sought permission to prosecute the Chamarajpet MLA, alleging that he had amassed illegal wealth linked to funds siphoned off in the IMA scam.

The opposition party alleged that Zameer Ahmed’s “cup of sin” in the alleged acquisition of ₹25 crore worth of disproportionate assets had now overflowed.

Using a sharp political attack, the BJP said, “Those who eat salt should drink water. Those who eat black money should go to jail.” It further accused the Congress of institutionalising corruption, stating, “Congress means corruption, and corruption means Congress.”
