Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday said the state’s per capita income has increased to ₹4,18,931 in 2025-26, marking a 10.23 per cent rise from ₹3,80,031 in the previous year.

In a social media post, the Chief Minister said the per capita income had grown by ₹38,900 in a year. He credited the increase to economic growth, investments, job creation and policy-driven governance, claiming Telangana has achieved significant progress since the Congress government assumed office in December 2023.

Revanth Reddy said women, farmers and youth have been the biggest beneficiaries of the government’s development initiatives and expressed confidence that the state would continue to record stronger growth.

Meanwhile, Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar met the Chief Minister to thank him after the Supreme Court upheld the environmental clearances for the Gouravelli, Palamuru-Rangareddy and Seethamma Sagar irrigation projects.

The minister said the favourable verdict was the result of the government’s proactive legal efforts and consultations with the Centre. He added that the judgment would accelerate the completion of the projects, providing irrigation to lakhs of acres, improving drinking water supply and boosting rural development across Telangana.
