iOS 27: Smarter Siri, AI Camera & Big WWDC Reveal—Is This Apple’s Biggest Upgrade Yet?

New Delhi: Apple is gearing up to unveil its next major software update, iOS 27, at the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), and early leaks suggest a strong push into AI-driven features.

While Apple has not officially confirmed the details, reports indicate that iOS 27 will follow a “Snow Leopard”-style approach—prioritising performance, stability, and bug fixes over flashy additions. The update is expected to enhance the overall experience across iPhones, iPads, and Macs.

One of the biggest highlights could be a major transformation of Siri. The voice assistant is likely to evolve into a more advanced, chatbot-like interface, similar to modern AI tools. Features such as remembering conversations, handling document and photo uploads, and deeper contextual responses are expected. Siri may also integrate more visibly into features like the Dynamic Island.

The camera experience is also set for a significant upgrade, with AI-powered “visual intelligence” tools. Users may be able to identify objects in real time, scan nutrition labels, and even capture business cards to instantly save contacts—bringing smarter functionality directly into the camera app.

In addition, the Photos app is expected to receive powerful AI editing tools, including options like “Extend,” “Enhance,” and “Reframe,” aimed at simplifying advanced photo editing for everyday users.

Apple is likely to announce iOS 27 in June at WWDC, followed by a public beta in July. The final version is expected to roll out in September alongside new iPhones.
