Mumbai: The trailer of youth-centric romantic comedy ‘Don’t Be Shy’, starring Aaroshi Bajaj, Piyush Khati, Bianca Arora and Ansh Duggal, was released on Friday, offering a glimpse into a story of friendship, first love, heartbreak and the challenges of growing up.
The film follows a group of young people as they navigate relationships, emotional setbacks and the consequences of their choices. Aaroshi plays Shamili ‘Shy’ Das, a free-spirited young woman whose attempts to use people for her own benefit eventually land her in trouble, setting off a series of unexpected events.
More than a conventional love story
Moving beyond the familiar love-triangle formula, the film explores different relationships and the emotional highs and lows experienced by young people while trying to understand themselves and life.
Written and directed by Sriti Mukherjee, the film also features Kunal Roy Kapur, Anurag Basu, Neha Dhupia and Anju Alva Naik in key roles.
The film marks the entry of four young talents — Aaroshi Bajaj, Piyush Khati, Bianca Arora and Ansh Duggal — in prominent roles, with Ansh making his acting debut.
Produced by Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt, ‘Don’t Be Shy’ will premiere on Prime Video on September 25, 2026.
