Chennai: Director Ramees’ much-anticipated time-travel thriller Orijinal, starring Sreenath Bhasi in the lead role, is set to hit theatres on October 23.

The film’s makers announced the release date through a new poster. Sharing it on social media, Sreenath Bhasi wrote, “Finally, the time has come. #Orijinal is coming to the big screen on October 23.”

The film’s unusual title has already generated curiosity. The deliberate use of “Orijinal” instead of “Original” has added to speculation about the film’s storyline and its time-travel theme.

Produced by MAZ Media and Jiku Films, the film has Harshad as co-producer. Ramees has written the story and directed the project.

The cast includes Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Rajesh Madhavan, Sreekanth Vettiyar, Binu Pappu, Femina George and Gokulan in key roles.

With its time-travel premise, distinctive title and ensemble cast, Orijinal is expected to offer audiences a thriller built around the interplay of time, mystery and suspense. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on October 23.
