New Delhi: Delhi Police have registered four FIRs in connection with the INDIA bloc’s protest march towards the Supreme Court, police sources said.

The cases were registered for the alleged violation of restrictions imposed under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), which empowers authorities to issue orders to prevent potential disturbances to public order.

The FIRs were lodged at four police stations in the national capital — Connaught Place, Tilak Marg, Mandir Marg and Barakhamba.

Of the four cases, two were registered at the Tilak Marg police station, while Mandir Marg and Barakhamba police stations registered one FIR each.

Police are proceeding with further action in connection with the protest march.
