New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2025, with 483 candidates qualifying for admission to the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai.
The candidates have been shortlisted based on their performance in the written examination conducted by UPSC and the interviews held by the Services Selection Board (SSB) of the Ministry of Defence.
The selected candidates will join the 124th Short Service Commission Course (Men) and 124th Short Service Commission Women Course, both commencing in October 2026.
Of the 483 candidates, 455 are from the men’s course and 28 from the women’s course.
295 OTA vacancies
According to the government, 276 vacancies have been notified for the 124th Short Service Commission (Men) (NT) course, while 19 vacancies are available for the women’s course.
The merit list for the men’s course also includes candidates recommended earlier through the same examination for admission to the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun; Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala; and Air Force Academy (AFA), Hyderabad.
The government clarified that the results of the candidates’ medical examinations were not considered while preparing the merit list. Their candidature remains provisional, pending verification of date of birth and educational qualifications by Army Headquarters.
Marks to be released separately
Candidates can check the result on the UPSC official website. Their individual marks will be made available on the Commission’s website within 15 days of declaration of the final result and will remain accessible for 30 days.
The UPSC has also provided a facilitation counter at its campus for candidates seeking information or clarification regarding the examination.
