Chennai: Director Raghav Mirdath’s upcoming film Drones, starring Siddhi Idnani and Anjali Nair in the lead roles, is set to release in theatres on October 16.

Mirdath announced the release date on social media along with a new poster from the film. Describing the movie as a “surrealist fantasy”, he promised audiences a world filled with adventure, unusual characters and entertainment.

Produced by GM Morgan Films, Drones is billed as a fantasy entertainer with a distinctive visual and narrative style. The three first-look posters released earlier had hinted at elements of horror woven into the fantasy storyline.

RJ Deepak will make his silver-screen debut with the film. Besides Siddhi Idnani and Anjali Nair, the cast includes Devadarshini, Dravid Selvam of Parithabangal fame, Kureshi of Vijay TV, Cinema-wala Satish and Shashi Selvaraj in key roles.

The makers have described Drones as an attempt to create a unique cinematic world that blends reality with imagination.

With its fantasy setting, adventure elements and hints of horror, the film is scheduled to arrive in theatres on October 16.
