Engineering Services Main 2026 results out; UPSC asks shortlisted candidates to update details
New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Friday declared the results of the Engineering Services (Main) Examination, 2026, held on June 21, with shortlisted candidates qualifying for the Personality Test (Interview).
According to the Commission, the candidature of all shortlisted candidates is provisional and subject to verification of eligibility, including age, educational qualifications, category and disability certificates, wherever applicable. Candidates have been advised to keep all original documents ready for verification at the time of the interview.
UPSC said it will open a 15-day online window for candidates who have qualified for the Personality Test to update their application details and upload proof of passing the requisite qualifying examination. Candidates must also log in to the portal to verify or update information, including correspondence address, higher qualifications, work experience and service preferences, and submit the application form to enable the generation of the e-Summon Letter.

The Commission clarified that candidates who fail to complete this mandatory process will not be permitted to appear for the Personality Test, and their candidature may be cancelled.
The schedule for the Personality Test will be announced separately through e-Summon Letters, which can be downloaded from the UPSC’s official websites. A roll number-wise interview schedule will also be published on the Commission’s portal.
UPSC said requests for changes in the interview date or time will not be entertained under any circumstances.
The Commission further said that the marksheets of all candidates, including those who qualified and those who did not, will be uploaded on its website after the final results are declared following completion of the Personality Test. The marksheets will remain available online for 30 days.
Candidates seeking further clarification may contact the UPSC Facilitation Counter or Call Centre during notified working hours, the Commission added.
