Karnataka Sting Operation Row: Congress Expels Krupa Alva for Six Years
Bengaluru: The Congress has expelled party leader Krupa Alva for six years over alleged anti-party activities linked to the sting operation controversy in Karnataka.
The action was taken on the direction of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president, reportedly after Alva failed to respond to a show-cause notice seeking an explanation.

The development comes after the Central Crime Branch (CCB) gave a clean chit to former chief minister Siddaramaiah, describing the alleged sting operation as fabricated in a press release.
Alva, a former chairperson of the Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, has held various positions in the Congress for more than a decade.
