Nana Patekar’s Sudden Death: Police Probe Registered Under BNSS Section 194

PANAJI: Goa Police have reportedly registered an unnatural death case following the death of veteran actor Nana Patekar. The Panaji police registered the case under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.

According to the information provided, Patekar complained of severe chest pain at his residence in Goa on October 8. A medical team rushed to the house and administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) before taking him to hospital.

However, doctors declared him dead at 5.20 am. Medical personnel reportedly attempted to revive him for around 45 minutes, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

The investigation is being conducted under the leadership of PSI Nitin Nayak. A postmortem examination was reportedly carried out as part of the legal and medical procedures. The actor’s last rites were performed on the day of his death, according to the account provided.

Patekar had travelled to Goa to attend an event. He was last seen in public on October 4 at a Samrat Club International programme held in Dona Paula. Videos from the event have since been circulating on social media.

The veteran actor was known for his versatile performances across Hindi and regional cinema. His recent film credits reportedly include O Romeo, Subedaar and Vanvaas.

His sudden death has reportedly sent shockwaves through the film industry, with celebrities and fans expressing grief over the loss of the acclaimed performer.
