Nayanthara-Kavin’s ‘Hi’ gets new release date; film to hit screens on August 28
Chennai: Nayanthara and Kavin-starrer romantic entertainer ‘Hi’ will now release worldwide on August 28, the makers announced on Friday. The Vishnu Edavan directorial was earlier scheduled to hit theatres on August 14.
Seven Screen Studios, one of the production houses behind the film, announced the revised release date on social media, asking fans to mark August 28 on their calendars.
The film has already been cleared by the Censor Board with a U/A certificate. Jointly produced by Zee Studios South, The Rowdy Pictures and Seven Screen Studios, the movie also features K Bhagyaraj, Prabhu, Radhika, Sathyan, Adithya Kathir and Kureishi.
According to sources close to the unit, the story unfolds across Chennai, Coimbatore and Pollachi and is said to be a family entertainer centred on true love, without a conventional villain.

Vishnu Edavan, who makes his directorial debut with ‘Hi’, previously worked as an associate director with Lokesh Kanagaraj on films including Kaithi, Master and Vikram.
The film marks the first collaboration between Nayanthara and Kavin, raising expectations among fans. Music is by Jen Martin, cinematography by Rajesh Shukla and editing by Philomin Raj.
