Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has urged the Yadav community to support the government’s efforts to develop Hyderabad into a global city, citing projects such as the Musi River rejuvenation, metro rail expansion, Regional Ring Road and Bharat Future City.

Addressing the Shri Krishna Sadar Sammelan at NTR Stadium, Reddy praised the community’s contribution to Hyderabad’s growth, social harmony and security. He said Yadavs from across the country had welcomed people arriving in the city for work and helped them integrate into its social fabric.

The chief minister assured the community that his government would protect its rights and self-respect. He said the government had recognised the Sadar Sammelan as a state festival following the community’s request and allocated Rs 5 crore for its celebrations.

Reddy said the state had conducted a caste census to ensure representation in proportion to population and claimed that adequate representation had been provided to Yadavs.

He also highlighted the appointment of Ishwaramma Yadav to the governing council of the Yadagirigutta Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple and her responsibility for its goshala.

Former Bihar deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav and several ministers, MPs and community representatives attended the event.
