White House Ballroom Designed to Withstand Drone, Missile Attacks, Says Trump
Washington: A high-security ballroom with a capacity to accommodate 2,500 guests is being constructed at the White House, with US President Donald Trump saying the facility is designed to withstand drone attacks, missile strikes and gunfire.
The project aims to provide a secure venue for hosting visiting foreign leaders, including heads of state from China and Russia. Construction is expected to be completed by July 2027.
According to the plan, the facility will include underground infrastructure extending five levels below ground, with security arrangements designed to meet military requirements.

The proposed features include systems capable of accommodating more than 100 drones and a roof designed to support the weight of helicopters.
The ballroom will also have ceilings exceeding 50 feet, marble flooring and extensive glass architectural elements.
