Kolar: Fresh political tensions have surfaced in Karnataka, with Union Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy alleging that 40 to 50 MLAs are preparing to travel to Delhi amid renewed buzz over the Chief Minister’s post.

Speaking to reporters in Malur, Kumaraswamy launched a sharp attack on the ruling government, claiming that internal power struggles have taken precedence over public issues.

“People are struggling with drinking water shortage and severe heat, but the government is not paying attention,” he said.

Citing remarks by Aland MLA B. R. Patil, Kumaraswamy added that there were concerns about lack of funds to address water issues and shortage of PDOs, questioning the administration’s functioning.

He alleged that instead of focusing on governance and public welfare, elected representatives are engaged in political manoeuvring over leadership, further fuelling speculation about instability within the state’s political landscape.
