Eight Killed in Separate Accidents in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana
Amaravati: Eight people lost their lives in two separate accidents in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, officials said on Sunday.
In Andhra Pradesh, four people, including three women, were killed after they were allegedly run over by the Cherlapalli–Shalimar Special train near Chebrol in Unguturu mandal of Eluru district late Saturday night.
According to the Government Railway Police (GRP), the victims’ bodies were severely mutilated and have been sent for post-mortem. Preliminary investigations suggest the deceased may belong to the same family. Police are trying to establish their identities using ATM cards, mobile phones and other belongings recovered from the spot. Officials suspect it could be a case of suicide, though investigations are continuing from all angles.

In a separate incident in Telangana, four people were killed in a road accident near Peddakaparthi village in Nalgonda district on Sunday morning.
The accident occurred after a private travel bus rammed into a car from behind on the Hyderabad–Vijayawada National Highway. Four occupants of the car died on the spot, while the driver sustained serious injuries and was admitted to hospital for treatment.
