Mumbai: Mumbai University has postponed all examinations scheduled for Monday due to heavy rainfall and the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing a heavy rain warning for the city.
The university said the decision was taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students, faculty and examination staff. Continuous rainfall and adverse weather conditions are expected to affect transportation and disrupt the smooth conduct of examinations.
The revised schedule for the postponed examinations will be announced shortly.
The university has advised students to regularly check its official website for updates and has urged them not to rely on unverified information circulating on social media.
