‘Karavali’ Trailer Unveiled; Film Showcases Coastal Culture and Kambala Tradition
Bengaluru: The trailer of the much-awaited Kannada film ‘Karavali’, starring Prajwal Devaraj, Raj B. Shetty and Ramesh Indira, was released on Tuesday, generating an enthusiastic response from audiences ahead of its theatrical release on July 24.
Directed by Gurudutt Ganiga, the film highlights the rich culture, traditions and heritage of Karnataka’s coastal region, with a strong focus on the traditional Kambala buffalo race. The trailer offers a glimpse into the region’s lifestyle, folklore and vibrant cultural identity through a visually grand presentation.

The trailer launch event was attended by director Gurudutt Ganiga, actor Raj B. Shetty, actresses Sampada and Sushmita, along with actors Mitra, Sridhar and other members of the film’s cast and crew. Lead actor Prajwal Devaraj, however, was not present at the event.
Meanwhile, discussions have emerged on social media over reports that Prajwal Devaraj did not dub the trailer in his own voice. Despite the speculation, the trailer has received a positive response from viewers, further raising expectations for the film’s release.
