Congress Demands ₹10,000 Crore Drought Relief Package for Karnataka
Bengaluru: The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has passed a series of resolutions on issues ranging from drought relief and political developments to organisational matters at its general body meeting held in Bengaluru on Tuesday.
Sharing the resolutions on social media platform X, KPCC President B.K. Hariprasad said the meeting unanimously demanded that the Central Government sanction a special grant of ₹10,000 crore to help Karnataka tackle the drought situation.
The meeting also passed a resolution seeking a CBI probe into the alleged Ram Temple loot case. The Congress further demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister resign, taking moral responsibility over the issue.

The KPCC meeting congratulated AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge on his election to the Rajya Sabha and for assuming the post of Leader of the Opposition, while also acknowledging the role of Sonia Gandhi in his election.
It also congratulated Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on his appointment as a member of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) and expressed gratitude to Sonia Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi for the decision.
Hariprasad also thanked Sonia Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal for appointing him as the KPCC President and for reposing confidence in D.K. Shivakumar as the Chief Minister of Karnataka.
