VP unveils RSS @100 book, calls Sangh a force for national service
Delhi: Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan on Friday released the book “RSS @100: A Century of Service, Unity & Sacrifice”, authored by Shyam Jaju and Anupam Trivedi, at Uprashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.
Speaking at the event, the Vice-President said the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has, over the past century, strengthened the ideals of service, unity and national consciousness. He described the organisation’s journey as one of preserving India’s cultural heritage and fostering national integration through selfless service.
Drawing an analogy with the holy Ganga, Radhakrishnan said the RSS has worked for the welfare of society in a spirit of selfless dedication. He added that the organisation has inspired generations through character-building, leadership development and nation-building initiatives.
Referring to a chapter in the book on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Vice-President said the Prime Minister’s journey from a Swayamsevak to Pradhan Sevak reflects the principles of “Seva” and “Nation First”, which he said remain central to governance.
