In the Chamarajpet police station limits, Manjunath died after the roof and cement bricks of his house collapsed. The incident occurred when strong winds and rain dislodged the roof sheeting, causing a stone placed on top to fall on him while he was lying inside. His body has been shifted to Victoria Hospital.

Earlier, seven people, including a child, were killed in the compound wall collapse near Bowring Hospital. The deceased have been identified as Mohammed Abdul (52), Fayaz Ahmed (39), Musavir Begum (6), Smita (47), Lata (57), Naseemullah (19), and Salauddin Ansari (36).

In another incident, student Syed Sufian died due to electrocution during the rains in Yarab Nagar while parking his bike.

Similarly, Raghu (30–35) lost his life after coming into contact with a live, fallen electric wire near a mini forest area under J. P. Nagar police station limits.

Authorities have urged citizens to remain cautious during heavy rains and avoid risky areas, especially those with damaged infrastructure or exposed electrical lines.
