New Delhi: The Centre has extended Enforcement Directorate (ED) Director Rahul Naveen’s tenure by another year, allowing him to continue in the post till August 13, 2027.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the extension for one year from August 13, according to a circular issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.

Rahul Naveen, an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer, has been heading the central agency responsible for investigating major cases involving money laundering and foreign exchange violations.

The latest decision extends his tenure beyond his scheduled retirement. According to the government order, the extension will take effect from the date of his retirement and will remain in force until July 31, 2027, or until further orders.
