New Delhi: AYUSHEXCIL and the Spices Board of India have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen the global promotion of Ayush products and medicinal spices.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Union Minister of State for Ayush Prataprao Jadhav, who described the partnership as a “visionary and forward-looking initiative” aimed at enhancing India’s leadership in traditional wellness and natural healthcare products.
Highlighting India’s heritage in Ayurveda and medicinal spices, Jadhav said the collaboration would support farmers, exporters, startups, MSMEs and women entrepreneurs while promoting preventive healthcare and holistic wellness globally.

The minister also highlighted the proposed “Spice and Heal” initiative, saying it could emerge as a strong global branding campaign positioning India as a leader in natural healing and wellness solutions.
Under the partnership, the two organisations will collaborate on export promotion, quality assurance, scientific validation, innovation, branding, traceability systems and international market development for herbal extracts, nutraceuticals, functional foods and Ayurvedic products.
The MoU was signed by Anurag Sharma and M. S. Manivannan.
Officials said the initiative would also focus on joint participation in global trade fairs, Codex engagement, capacity building and development of value-added spice and Ayurveda-based products to strengthen India’s presence in the global wellness economy.
