Mysuru: Four people were killed and more than 20 others injured after a private sleeper bus collided head-on with a lorry near Keeranahalli Gate in Piriyapatna taluk of Mysuru district early Friday.
The accident occurred around 3.30 am when the bus, travelling from Mysuru towards Madikeri, collided with a lorry coming from the opposite direction.
The impact was severe, leaving the front portions of both vehicles badly mangled.
The injured passengers were shifted to the Government Hospital in Piriyapatna for treatment.
After receiving information about the accident, officials rushed to the spot and launched rescue operations.
