Trump Seeks Death Penalty for Those Who Kill Firefighters on Duty
Washington: US President Donald Trump has called for the death penalty for people who kill firefighters while they are on duty, asking the Attorney General to examine a proposal to include firefighters under capital punishment provisions for attacks on law enforcement personnel.

Speaking at a White House event honouring firefighters, police officers and emergency responders, Trump said firefighters face serious risks while rescuing people from burning buildings and responding to emergencies.
He referred to incidents in which firefighters were allegedly shot at while battling fires, arguing that those who attack emergency personnel should face the harshest possible punishment.
