New Delhi: The BJP accused Rahul Gandhi of politicising his meeting with President Droupadi Murmu and challenged the Congress to produce evidence supporting its “vote chori” allegations.

Addressing reporters in New Delhi, BJP national spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Sudhanshu Trivedi said Gandhi’s remarks appeared politically motivated. He questioned the Congress leader’s account of the meeting, stating that only those present could confirm what had transpired.

Trivedi also referred to Gandhi’s earlier legal dispute over remarks linked to the “Chowkidar Chor Hai” slogan during the 2019 Lok Sabha election campaign, alleging that he was using the President’s name to advance his political agenda.

Trivedi questioned whether Congress’s Booth Level Agents (BLAs) had verified electoral rolls during recent by-elections and filed objections over discrepancies.

He also asked whether Congress polling agents were present at polling stations and counting centres, whether objections had been raised during the electoral process, and whether the party planned to seek CCTV footage within the stipulated 45-day period.
