New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has extradited Sourabh Chandrakar, promoter and alleged mastermind of the ₹6,000-crore Mahadev Online Book illegal betting syndicate, from Oman to India.
Chandrakar was traced and detained by the Royal Oman Police following the issuance of an Interpol Red Corner Notice. A CBI team travelled to Muscat to escort him back to India.
He is scheduled to be produced before the Special CBI Court in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, on Monday.
The extradition marks a significant development in the investigation into the alleged illegal betting network.
