‘Don’t Expect BJP’s “Ji Huzoor” Culture From Me’: B.K. Hariprasad Hits Back
Bengaluru: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President B.K. Hariprasad has launched a sharp attack on the BJP, saying it is “foolish” to expect him to follow the party’s alleged “Ji Huzoor” culture.
Responding to criticism from BJP leaders in a post on social media platform X, Hariprasad also targeted Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, accusing the BJP of double standards.
“Before preaching basic etiquette to others, your own party leaders should first learn how to speak in public. I will respond to BJP leaders in the language they understand. The ‘Ji Huzoor’ culture is not mine,” Hariprasad said.
Referring to allegations involving Pralhad Joshi’s brother, he said the BJP should first answer those questions before questioning others.

Reacting to Joshi’s remarks on the RSS, Hariprasad cited former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy’s earlier criticism of the Union Minister, saying there was no need for a serious debate with such a person.
On the BJP’s criticism of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, Hariprasad said the Congress had expressed regret over the incident and taken action against those responsible. He, in turn, challenged the BJP to show the same courage in answering questions about the 2002 Gujarat riots.

Referring to the Bilkis Bano case, the Gujarat riots and other incidents, Hariprasad asserted that he had never indulged in politics based on caste or religion and maintained that his politics has always focused on protecting the rights of Dalits, backward classes and minorities.
