‘Empower youth, poor, farmers and women to make India developed by 2047’: Amit Shah
Alwar: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Sunday inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 954 development projects worth ₹6,453 crore across 17 districts of Rajasthan.
Addressing a gathering in Alwar, Shah said empowering youth, the poor, farmers and women would be crucial to achieving the goal of a developed India by 2047.
Shah laid the foundation stone for a milk-processing plant in Alwar with an initial capacity of three lakh litres per day, which will later be increased to five lakh litres. He said the dairy and cooperative sectors could transform the rural economy and create new opportunities for livestock farmers.
Four Saras Dairy plants in Bhilwara, Jaipur, Pali and Rajsamand were also commissioned at a combined cost of ₹274 crore.

Four district cooperative banks were launched in Phalodi, Balotra, Didwana-Kuchaman and Pratapgarh, with farmers set to receive loans at zero per cent interest.
The minister said ₹152 crore under the Chief Minister’s Crop Insurance Scheme had been transferred through DBT, while more than ₹667 crore had been distributed to 67 lakh farmers under the Mukhyamantri Kisan Samman Nidhi.
Shah said Rajasthan currently has around 44,000 cooperative societies and the government aims to ensure that every village has access to a cooperative institution.
He said 50 new warehouses would be constructed in 2026-27, while 162 warehouses have already been completed.
Highlighting the Modi government’s initiatives for farmers since 2014, Shah said the Centre had introduced several schemes covering irrigation, crop insurance, agricultural infrastructure, fisheries, cooperatives and farm support.
He also claimed that the government had achieved its highest-ever foodgrain procurement at MSP, while stressing that the cooperative movement would be central to achieving the vision of ‘Sahkar Se Samriddhi’.
