‘Friends of MY Bharat’ to connect global Indian youth with nation-building initiatives
Gandhinagar: The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has launched the ‘Friends of MY Bharat’ digital module to strengthen engagement with Indian-origin youth living across the world.
Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Khadse announced the initiative at the BRICS Youth Summit 2026 in Gandhinagar. The platform will provide Indian-origin students, young professionals and other youth abroad with information about volunteering opportunities, nation-building activities and youth-led programmes hosted on MY Bharat.

Through the module, global Indian youth can register as a ‘Friend of MY Bharat’ and share details of their youth clubs or associations, including their activities and areas of engagement.
The platform will highlight volunteering opportunities in areas such as education, environment, health awareness, disaster relief and cultural preservation, enabling youth to participate in social initiatives in India.

A dedicated ‘Know Your India’ section will offer curated information on India’s culture, heritage, history, tourism, travel and prominent leaders. It will also showcase major MY Bharat programmes and initiatives of national importance.
The initiative aims to create a sustained global youth network and channel the ideas, skills, experiences and aspirations of Indian-origin youth towards India’s development journey.
MY Bharat, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 31, 2023, is a national youth platform focused on Seva, Kartavya and Jan Bhagidari. It connects young people with experiential learning, volunteering, skills, leadership and mentorship opportunities towards the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
