Harmanpreet, Deepti Centuries Power India to 121-Run Win Over Zimbabwe; ODI Series Sealed
New Delhi: Centuries from Harmanpreet Kaur and Deepti Sharma powered the Indian women’s cricket team to a commanding 121-run victory over Zimbabwe in the second ODI, helping India clinch the three-match series with an unassailable 2-0 lead.
Batting first, India posted an imposing 328 in their allotted 50 overs, thanks to a dominant performance from the middle order. Harmanpreet led the charge with an explosive 126, while Deepti remained unbeaten on 106 off just 86 deliveries.
Pratika Rawal provided a solid foundation with a responsible knock of 61. She shared a 124-run partnership with Harmanpreet, putting India in a strong position. Harmanpreet and Deepti then added another 153 runs, driving the total beyond the 300-run mark and setting Zimbabwe a challenging target of 329.

In reply, Zimbabwe struggled to keep pace with the required run rate against India’s disciplined bowling attack. The visitors were eventually bowled out for 207 in 48.5 overs, falling 121 runs short of the target.
Vaishnavi Sharma was the standout bowler for India, claiming four wickets for 39 runs. Deepti complemented her century with an impressive three-wicket haul, delivering a decisive all-round performance.
India’s dominance with both bat and ball ensured a comprehensive victory and an early series triumph. With one match remaining, the Indian team has already secured the ODI series by taking an unassailable lead.
