Jangaon: Leaders and workers of INDIA bloc parties organised a district-level march in Telangana’s Jangaon district as part of the nationwide ‘Vote Bachao–Desh Bachao’ campaign, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

The march culminated at the statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, where participants reiterated their call to protect voting rights, democracy and the Constitution. A memorandum seeking the CEC’s resignation was also submitted to the district collector.

DCC president Dhanvantari, Assembly in-charge Pratap Reddy, TPCC general secretary Dudilla Srinivas Babu and Gampa Venugopal were among those who participated in the march, along with leaders and workers of various INDIA bloc parties.

The organisers said the campaign aimed to raise concerns over electoral processes and safeguard the sanctity of democratic institutions.

They said the campaign would continue under the leadership of Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, with a focus on protecting citizens’ voting rights and upholding constitutional values.
