Iran Sets Seven Conditions for Reopening Strait of Hormuz
Tehran: Iran has linked the reopening of the strategically important Strait of Hormuz to the United States accepting seven conditions proposed by Tehran, amid continuing tensions and diplomatic efforts to end the conflict.
Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran’s Expediency Discernment Council, said Washington had yet to give a clear response to the demands.

Senior Iranian military official Ali Abdollahi warned that any threat from the US or Israel would invite an immediate response, adding that Iran’s retaliation would not be limited by geographical boundaries.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said Tehran had sent a proposal to end the conflict to Washington through intermediaries on September 22. He said the proposed timeline, initially set at seven days, had since been reduced to two days.
