‘Maa Inti Bangaram’; Samantha Says Success Silences Doubts Over Women-Centric Films
Hyderabad: Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu-starrer ‘Maa Inti Bangaram’ has crossed the ₹100 crore mark at the worldwide box office, emerging as one of the biggest commercial successes for a women-led Telugu film.
Directed by B.V. Nandini Reddy, the action-comedy also stars Gulshan Devaiah and Diganth in key roles. The film has been jointly produced by Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Raj Nidimoru and Himank Reddy.
Samantha celebrated the milestone at her home and shared a video on Instagram. In the clip, producer Raj Nidimoru announces that the film has crossed ₹100 crore globally, prompting an emotional Samantha to thank audiences for their overwhelming love and support.

Reflecting on the film’s success, Samantha said many people, including theatre owners, had questioned the commercial viability of women-centric films before the release.
“Many asked, ‘Who watches women-centric films?’ This ₹100 crore success is the answer,” she said, adding that the achievement proves audiences are willing to support strong female-led stories.
Expressing hope for the future, Samantha said the film’s success would encourage filmmakers and producers to back more women-centric projects, paving the way for greater diversity in Indian cinema.
