NEET UG 2026 results declared: over 11.2 lakh qualify
New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Wednesday declared the results of the NEET UG 2026 examination, with Aryan Gupta of Punjab and Panshul Bansal of Haryana emerging as joint national toppers after securing 715 marks each.
Around 20 lakh candidates appeared for the entrance examination, conducted on June 21 across 551 cities in India and 14 international centres. Of them, over 11.21 lakh candidates qualified for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other undergraduate medical courses.
The NTA said female candidates continued to outperform their male counterparts, accounting for more than 58% of the successful candidates this year.

According to the score distribution, 19 candidates scored above 700, while 138 secured more than 690 marks. A total of 1,492 candidates scored above 650, and 10,160 candidates crossed the 600-mark threshold. Uttar Pradesh recorded the highest number of qualified candidates, with more than 1.7 lakh clearing the examination.
Ahead of the declaration of results, the NTA released the final answer key, revising two Physics questions. As a result, eight bonus marks were awarded to all candidates.
The agency said the timely announcement of results would ensure that the medical admission and counselling process proceeds according to schedule.
Candidates can download their NEET UG 2026 scorecards by logging in with their registration number or roll number on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in.
