The four-day visit will cover Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka, with a focus on deepening India-Japan trade and investment partnerships.

In Tokyo, Goyal will meet senior executives of leading Japanese companies and participate in a round-table with Keidanren, Japan’s apex business federation representing more than 1,500 companies.

Dedicated discussions will focus on semiconductors, artificial intelligence, startups and foreign institutional investment. Goyal will also hold bilateral talks with Japan’s Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Akazawa Ryosei and meet senior government and parliamentary leaders.

In Nagoya, the minister will lead a business roadshow with the Central Japan Economic Federation and Nagoya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, besides meeting Aichi officials and investors from the automobile and steel sectors.

The visit will conclude in Osaka, where Goyal will participate in an investors and business roadshow and meet companies from the electronics, industrial and consumer sectors.

Japan remains a key partner for India in investment, technology and industrial cooperation. The government said the visit is expected to create new opportunities in high-technology manufacturing and next-generation industries, supporting India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat @2047 goals.
