New Delhi: India celebrated a double triumph at the Hylo Open Super 500 badminton tournament on Sunday, with PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen clinching the women’s and men’s singles titles respectively.
Two-time Olympic medallist Sindhu defeated Denmark’s Line Højmark Kjærsfeldt 21-12, 21-14 in the women’s singles final to claim her second title of the season.
Lakshya Sen completed the Indian sweep by beating Indonesia’s Jonatan Christie 21-17, 21-10 in the men’s singles final.
Sindhu’s victory earned her 9,200 ranking points, strengthening her prospects of qualifying for the season-ending BWF World Tour Finals.
