Mumbai: Rajasthan Royals booked their place in the playoffs with a convincing 30-run victory over Mumbai Indians in the 69th match of the Indian Premier League at the Wankhede Stadium.
Batting first in a high-scoring encounter, Rajasthan Royals posted an imposing 205/8 in their allotted 20 overs.
In reply, Mumbai Indians struggled against Rajasthan’s disciplined bowling attack and kept losing wickets at regular intervals during the chase.
Despite a few resistance efforts, Mumbai could manage only 175/7 in 20 overs, falling short of the target by 30 runs.
With the crucial win, Rajasthan Royals confirmed their place in the top four and strengthened their hopes of lifting the IPL title this season.
