Ranbir Kapoor, Yash shine in visually spectacular ‘Ramayana: Part 1’ trailer
Mumbai: The much-awaited trailer of ‘Ramayana: Part 1’ was unveiled on Wednesday, offering audiences a visually stunning glimpse into the epic with Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Yash as Ravana. Released in Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam, the trailer has generated widespread excitement for its cinematic scale, visual effects and stirring background score.
The trailer opens with the imposing introduction of Yash as Ravana before unfolding key episodes from the Ramayana, including life in Ayodhya, Lord Rama’s exile, the Shoorpanakha episode and the abduction of Sita.

Apart from Ranbir Kapoor and Yash, the film stars Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravi Dubey as Lakshmana, while Lara Dutta, Rakul Preet Singh and Arvind Govil appear in pivotal roles.
The trailer showcases expansive recreations of Ayodhya, the forests of Dandakaranya and the grandeur of Lanka, brought to life with advanced visual effects by Oscar-winning VFX studio DNEG. The visuals, combined with an orchestral score, add to the film’s epic appeal.
The film’s music has been composed jointly by A.R. Rahman and acclaimed Hollywood composer Hans Zimmer, with the background score emerging as one of the trailer’s standout features.
Producer Namit Malhotra said the film aims to present India’s cultural heritage to a global audience using world-class technology, while director Nitesh Tiwari said the project has been made with utmost respect for the spirit and values of the ancient epic.
‘Ramayana: Part 1’ is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release during Diwali 2026.
