New Delhi: More than four lakh young people and citizens participated in the Rashtriya Sankalp Samaroh organised across over 1,000 locations nationwide on Sunday as part of the Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat – 100 Weeks Nasha Mukt Yuva Abhiyan.

The nationwide mobilisation brought together youth, community groups, partner organisations and institutions to reinforce the message of a drug-free lifestyle and encourage healthier choices among young people.

The programme was held across 460 MY Bharat districts, 240 locations of MY Bharat partner organisations, and more than 300 locations involving spiritual organisations, industry associations and university associations.

A key feature of the event was the Nasha Mukt Pledge and Signature Campaign, alongside youth-led discussions, awareness programmes and community activities aimed at taking the campaign’s message to the grassroots.

The mobilisation is part of the 100-week campaign, which focuses on prevention, awareness, health, fitness and life skills. Its initial activity cycle includes three themes — ‘My Health, My Pride’, ‘Fit Youth, Addiction-Free Youth’ and ‘Life Skills Month’.

The nationwide event followed a similar mobilisation on September 18, with institutions and communities participating in pledges, signature campaigns, awareness activities and discussions.

The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports said the campaign seeks to sustain youth participation through community-based initiatives and encourage young people to promote awareness, healthy lifestyles and positive choices.

The Rashtriya Sankalp Samaroh is intended to provide a common platform for youth, institutions and communities to contribute to the broader objective of building a Nasha Mukt Bharat through sustained awareness and participation.
