Chennai: The makers of ‘Vishwanath & Sons’ have released ‘The Wedding Song’, the latest track from the much-awaited action-family entertainer directed by Venky Atluri, and the festive number has received a positive response from moviegoers.
The song features Suriya and Mamita Baiju in a vibrant wedding celebration sequence, with their energetic dance performances emerging as one of its highlights. Adding to the appeal, Suriya has lent his voice to the track, marking a special musical contribution to the film.
The music has been composed by National Award-winning composer G.V. Prakash Kumar, while the lyrics are penned by Ken Karunas. Earlier in June, G.V. Prakash had announced on social media that Suriya had recorded the song.
Directed by Venky Atluri, the film is produced by Suriyadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya. The makers describe Vishwanath & Sons as a blend of action, family drama, humour and emotion.
The film’s teaser had earlier generated buzz by introducing Suriya as Sanjay Vishwanath, an international pistol shooter pursuing his dreams in his 40s. His on-screen chemistry with Mamita Baiju is also expected to be one of the film’s key attractions.
The supporting cast includes Radhika Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon in prominent roles. Nimish Ravi serves as the cinematographer, while Naveen Nooli has handled the editing.
‘Vishwanath & Sons’ is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on August 14.
