Three killed, six injured in Koppal road accident on NH-63 near Bhanapur

Koppal, Karnataka: Three people were killed and six others injured in a tragic road accident on National Highway 63 near Bhanapur in Kukanur taluk of Koppal district on Saturday morning.

The victims, residents of Kabbar village in Rattihalli taluk of Haveri district, were travelling in an Omni vehicle towards Mantralaya when the accident occurred.

According to reports, an Ashok Leyland vehicle travelling on the highway allegedly lost control and rammed into the Omni car. The impact of the collision was severe, killing three passengers on the spot.

The deceased have been identified as Ramesh Bellary (45), Kenchamma Balekai (35) and Amrutha (25).

Six other passengers sustained injuries in the accident and have been admitted to a hospital for treatment.

Following the incident, police officials rushed to the spot, conducted an inspection and launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.

The accident has left the families of the victims in shock, while authorities are examining the circumstances that led to the collision.
