Bengaluru: Rocking Star Yash’s much-awaited film ‘Toxic’ has opened to a massive response worldwide, sending fans into a frenzy. After a four-year wait, audiences thronged theatres for fan shows and early screenings.
Released across more than 12,000 screens globally, the film is playing on over 1,500 screens in Karnataka. Morning shows in Bengaluru witnessed strong occupancy and enthusiastic audience response.
‘Toxic’ reportedly grossed ₹120.75 crore in India on its opening day, with the film clocking 24,579 shows. The Hindi version led the collections with an estimated ₹55 crore net, while the Kannada version earned around ₹23.30 crore net.
The Telugu version reportedly collected ₹16 crore, followed by Tamil at ₹5.50 crore and Malayalam at ₹1.30 crore.
The film also recorded a strong opening in overseas markets, where it is estimated to have grossed around ₹20 crore on day one.
With the domestic and overseas figures combined, ‘Toxic’ is estimated to have recorded a worldwide opening of ₹140.75 crore, marking a powerful start for Yash’s latest release.
The strong opening across multiple language markets has added to expectations that the film could maintain its momentum at the box office over the coming days.
