Two killed after bus suffers tyre burst, rams bike in Kolar

Kolar: Two youths were killed on the spot after a private bus, which allegedly went out of control following a tyre burst, rammed into a motorcycle near Gennerahalli Gate in KGF taluk of Kolar district on Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Vinay and Vinayak, residents of KGF Nagar. According to police, the two were travelling on a bike when the bus veered off course and hit them, resulting in their death at the scene.

No passengers travelling in the bus were injured in the accident, officials said.

Police rushed to the spot soon after receiving information and carried out a preliminary investigation. The bodies were shifted for post-mortem examination.

Shivanshu Rajput, Superintendent of Police, Kolar, visited the accident site and reviewed the circumstances leading to the crash.

A case has been registered at Bettamangala Police Station, and further investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
