Hyderabad: The much-anticipated historical action drama Ranabali, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, has received a U/A certificate from the censor board ahead of its worldwide theatrical release on October 16, 2026.

Directed by Rahul Sankrityayan, the film is set against the backdrop of British rule in the 19th century. According to the makers, its narrative draws on historical events spanning 1854 to 1878, combining action, history and emotional drama.

The film was initially scheduled to release on September 11 but was postponed to October 16. With the censor certification secured, preparations are underway for its theatrical release.

Ranabali marks the third collaboration between Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, following Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade.

Vijay plays the titular character, Ranabali, while Rashmika portrays Jayamma. Hollywood actor Arnold Vosloo, known for his role in The Mummy, plays the antagonist Sir Theodore Hector.

The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner and presented by T-Series.

The historical setting, action sequences and reunion of Vijay and Rashmika have raised expectations among moviegoers ahead of the film’s release.
