Zelenskyy Says UK Pledges £10 Billion in Additional Support for Ukraine
Kyiv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Britain had pledged an additional £10 billion in financial support for Ukraine following talks with UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham, including economic assistance and funding linked to defence supplies.
In a statement, Zelenskyy said the package included £7 billion in economic support over the next three years and another £3 billion in British export support, primarily intended to facilitate the supply of weapons. He said the assistance would come on top of Britain’s existing annual support to Ukraine.

Zelenskyy described the commitment as timely, arguing that continued international assistance would demonstrate that Ukraine would not be left to confront Russia’s military campaign alone.
He said the two leaders also discussed sanctions against Russia, adding that Britain would maintain its position on the issue.
The Ukrainian president thanked the British government and its people for their continued support, saying international assistance remained important to strengthening Ukraine’s defence and protecting civilian lives.
