Hyderabad: Allu Arjun and director Atlee’s upcoming pan-India film ‘Raaka’ has entered the Guinness World Records for achieving a major motion-capture milestone during production.
Produced by Sun Pictures’ Kalanithi Maran, the film recorded the highest number of performers captured simultaneously in real-time motion capture, with 37 artists participating in a single session in February 2026.
The performers, aged between four and 70, were captured using a sophisticated setup involving 92 optical motion-capture cameras, facial-capture technology and Unreal Engine-based real-time visualisation.
Guinness World Records officially recognised the achievement on September 15, with adjudicator Swapnil Dangrikar presenting certificates to Allu Arjun and Atlee at an event in Hyderabad.
The film’s first look, released on Allu Arjun’s birthday on April 8, showed the actor in a striking bald-headed avatar. Atlee has described ‘Raaka’ as a project that has been 18 years in the making.
The film stars Deepika Padukone opposite Allu Arjun and is backed by Sun Pictures.
