New Delhi: The Central Reserve Police Force has released a major recruitment notification for 2026, inviting applications for a total of 9,175 posts under Constable (Technical, Tradesman and Pioneer) categories.
As per the notification, 504 posts are reserved for Andhra Pradesh and 353 for Telangana, while 79 posts have been earmarked for women candidates across the country. Candidates from all states are eligible to apply for posts under the Pioneer category.
Candidates must have passed Class 10 or hold an ITI certificate in the relevant trade from a recognised board. For driver posts, a valid HMV licence is mandatory. The age limit is 18 to 23 years for general posts and 21 to 27 years for driver posts, with relaxation applicable for reserved categories.
The selection process will be conducted in multiple stages, including Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), a 100-mark Computer-Based Test (with 0.25 negative marking for each wrong answer), Trade Test (50 marks for applicable posts), followed by document verification and a medical examination.
Under physical standards, male candidates must have a minimum height of 170 cm and female candidates 157 cm, with relaxation for ST categories. For the physical test, male candidates must complete a 5 km run in 24 minutes, while female candidates must complete 1.6 km.
Selected candidates will receive a starting basic pay of ₹21,700 under Pay Scale-3, with a monthly salary of around ₹40,000 including allowances such as DA and HRA.
